Maui Here I Come…but first New York City!

Yo folks,

I just finished another kick-ass show here in Jersey City last night, thanks to the Asian American Students at St. Peter’s College (check out our pic in the galleries). Didn’t we have a blast even with my congestion and runny sipon? I don’t care, last night’s crowd was awesome and it turned out to be a spiritual comedy show. Thanks to Aimee Raganit and her crew for bringing me out there after such a long time away and to my cousin Robb and his wife Beth for taking care of me with my flu and all.

So, this week I’m just chilling (literally) here in New York City for another week. I guess I’m gonna just fatten up on pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, extra saurkraut please. Gonna try to catch some Broadway shows and maybe even ice skate…yeah, right…I’m just getting used to wearing shoes with socks again. I miss my slippas!

After I spend some time with my family in San Francisco on Easter weekend, I’ll be flying home to Oahu for a bit of a rest and then to prep for my first time ever show on Maui on April 1st with the crazy duo known as Da Braddah’s. So if you’re in the Maui area, come check out this show. Can someone take me to the top of Haleakala with some bikes for the ride downhill? Here’s the poster for the gig.

Don’t forget to PLEASE RECORD the Manny Pacquiao fight this Saturday for me, someone please help…you’re my only hope.

Mahalo and Fo’get about it,
Rexy

    Rex,
Thank you for having us @ your hit show in Maui! It was truly a wonderful experience watching you on stage and in one of the most beautiful tropical islands in the world. What else could’ve we asked for? The night afterwards was such a blur @ Tsunami’s. Jason and I were wasted!!! Anyhow. It was nice hanging out with you and I look forward to seeing your show in the Bay!

i thought of an idea to add on to ur homepage if you would be interested. However they’re not really in cronological order. I thought you would appreciate considering im your biggest fan.
5 greatest childhood pask snack times ( your choice of order )
    1) Chasing a man with a cup and 5 pesos whos carrying a pair of steel buckets hanging on his shoulder yelling “Taho”out in the streets
    2) Dipping 5 pieces of fishballs on a stick to either sweet, sour, or spicy
    3) Craving for late night snack and waiting for a man out on the street calling out “Balot” or “Penoy”
    4) Bringing over 10 pesos in the nearest “Tindahan” to buy 5 pesos worth of “pan de sal” and the rest for a liter of Coke.
    5) Going accross the street when you crave for grilled “Chicken Innards”, or grilled “chicken liver”(not my choice really) for famous pulutan for my uncles and relatives.

Yo Pavo! Great work at SPC, pinsan! Loved the 12 cent beer part of the act… You’re always welcome in the Garden State. Hopefully we can make this a tradition. Congrats as well to Aimee, Arlene and all of AASU for putting on a great show!
