So far, I’ve just been doing nothing…no touring…no nothing…just enjoying a little needed break for the holidays. I hope that all of you survived the transition into the new year. I’m gonna just do my dirty laundry from last year.
My “Rex in the City” show for MTV Philippines is gonna be a little delayed, we’re just finishing up taping in studio when I get back to Manila in February. There might be a good chance of me playing other cities in the Philippines that month too…like the south perhaps.
Thanks to all of you that made my Badass Madapaka DVD part of your Xmas…I’m glad that a bunch of you now own a piece of that project. In San Francisco’s Tower Records/Video…it’s made it to #1. Tell me how you like. I’ve posted up my upcoming gig dates for the next few months. Let’s all see each other on the road.
If you’ll be in the LA area in Feb as I will, please go support my friends/colleagues the 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors in their newest show, “Asian Bird Flu Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”…you must not miss these inspiring band of Asian American comic performers. RESERVATIONS/INFO: online at: http://tickets.manja.org/18mmw/asianflu or 818-754-4500 or email email@example.com or www.18MMW.com.
I just got done watching, “The Great Raid”, on DVD…not the bloodiest WW2 film you’d ever see, but it had solid performances, albeit glorified cameos, by Philippine actors like Cesar Montano…and why was Paolo Montalban even left in the film for like thirty seconds and got credit? Hmmm…c’mon Hollywood! It’s a must-have for you WW2 buffs…so get the special edition DVD with the documentary and book. This film was about the greatest rescue mission in WW2 history that took place on Philippine soil.
I wanna say G’day to my fans in Australia…thanks so much for all your demands that I visit you guys there…I’ll try my best soon, real soon.
