Here’s a gig that’s open to the public that aims to raise funds for the Marine Animal Adoption Program at Manila Ocean Park.
As some of you may know, I’m an avid scuba diver and no place in the world like the Philippines holds a special place in my heart for reef conservation and education. Not a lot of folks know, but the Philippines holds a World Heritage site in its own Sulu Sea. The Tubbataha Reef contains more marine bio-diversity than all of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef! It’s only allowable for scuba diving four months out of the year due to the bad weather months, when illegal poaching from China and other neighbors takes its toll. You wanna see our sharks? Don’t order shark fin soup.
So please spread the word about this event I’m lending my talents to on December 9th. It’ll be fun and hopefully you’ll all go away knowing you’ve taken part in taking care of the Philippines’ ocean wildlife.
Oh yeah…here’s the poster.
